Addressing the effects of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and preventing future incidents is an essential component of healing and empowering individuals, families, and communities, especially in post conflict settings. ORCE adopts a survivor-centered and strengths-based approach to reduce stigma and address GBV issues. We prioritize the needs and experiences of survivors to ensure they receive necessary support, and we emphasize the importance of awareness and prevention mechanisms in the community to treat—and where possible prevent—the severe and debilitating effects GBV can have on an individual and a society.

ORCE provides services and training in the community, such as:

Awareness and prevention training and advocacy. Educating communities about the various forms of GBV, its impacts, and the importance of creating safe environments for all. Fostering understanding and dialogue, this work helps to reduce stigma and encourage individuals to speak out against violence.

GBV Response. Focusing on survivors’ own strengths and providing mental health support to help survivors regain control over their lives and recover from their physical, emotional, and spiritual wounds.

Social Support Services. Providing comprehensive support and services such as counseling, legal assistance, or access to safe housing to address the immediate and long-term needs of survivors, help them to rebuild their lives, and foster resilience within the community.
