ORCE Ethiopia

Working toward a future in which empowered local communities rebuild lives, and foster sustainable resilience and healing.

What We Do

ORCE works toward a future in which our communities are resilient, empowered, and self-sufficient, and each person thrives with hope and dignity. Our work and each of our services are grounded in our strategic pillars.

Integrated Direct Services. Provide mental health and physical rehabilitative services that are specialized and customized, and that integrate cultural and spiritual components for survivors of trauma and war.

Capacity Building and Training. Provide organizations with professional training to enhance quality mental health and psychosocial support services, build resilience, and strengthen staff wellbeing.

Gender and Social Protection. Provide social support services to mitigate effects of Gender Based Violence (GBV), build awareness, and strengthen prevention, using survivor-centered, strength-based approaches.

Peacebuilding and Social Cohesion. Promote peace and reconciliation through media and community dialogue, train local leaders in conflict resolution, and engage children, youth, and women in sports and cultural exchange.

Research, Advocacy, and Innovation. Engage in research and innovation, using data to improve service models, ensure evidence-based interventions, and enhance sustainability. Advocate for policies to protect vulnerable groups.
